Thanks to your generous support in 2018, Take A Breather Foundation made several visits to CF inpatients at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and St. Christopher’s to deliver iPads over the holidays! Being able to grant a few “wishes” (in the spirit of St. Nick) made an impactful difference in the holidays of John Palmer (CHOP); Dylan Layfield (CHOP); Maddy Bankes (CHOP); Jeffrey Donnora (CHOP); and Dara Broadnax (St. Christopher’s). As you may know, the Winter is an especially difficult time for CF patients – with germs being passed around and depression an ongoing issue (especially for adult patients). With your continued help, Take A Breather plans on continuing this magical tradition for many holiday seasons to come!

Take A Breather’s First-Ever Pickleball Tournament

On Friday, February 22nd from 7:00 – 9:30 PM, Take A Breather will be hosting its first-ever Pickleball Round Robin Tournament at Bryn Mawr Racquet Club (4 N Warner Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA. 19010). Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis on one half of a tennis court (picture below). Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, making a sound kind of like a whiffle ball!
If you are interested in participating in a night of pickleball instruction, competitive play, socializing, and refreshments while supporting our impactful cause, contact Perrin Ryal (perrin@takeabreather.net) or click here!
Stay tuned for Spring 2019 events!
